OUR HISTORY

The joy of good food is something Mr. Santosh Kochuparambil has been spreading since 2007. The southwest coast of India is served on a platter be it A La Carte Dinner, Take Outs or Catering. The restaurant also honors Gift Cards that are a token of love. The Bar serves interesting cocktails and mocktails besides the usual drinks.

Our cuisine encompasses foods of the southwest coast of India, as many as six different regions, highlighted by fresh herbs and whole spices to create traditional and innovative dishes alike. We specialize in seafood and South Indian recipes.

I have eaten at Indian restaurants in many cities around the U.S., Canada and elsewhere. This is the only restaurant where I could see and taste each fresh ingredient such as spinach, tomato, onions and eggplant. Elsewhere they are often just one big mash. The freshness enhances the flavor. My only criticism is the food could be a bit spicier. We were not asked what spice level we would like when we ordered. This was our second time here and we will definitely return our next time in Saratoga Springs.

I was sent to Karavalli by a coworker who had visited Saratoga. She gave the restaurant a great recommendation. I was in agreement since the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I was with another couple who also enjoyed the food.

Walking around Saratoga, we happened upon this restaurant. We love Indian food and we also love lamb. They have a full bar. Ordered some beers. Have some good bread and condiments. We also ordered some garlic naan. We each had two different lamb dishes. Both delicious- Kormora and Rogan Josh. The Kormora has raisins. Rogan Josh is a traditional curry- hot but not real hot. Also had a spinach and chickpea dish. Plenty of food. Will definitely be back to eat our way through the menu.

Haven't been here for awhile but remember fondly a dinner when in town. Went after the races and were seated immediately. All staff was friendly and attentive. My husband and I both really enjoyed our dinners. We'll be back next time we're in town.

Came here on a Thursday evening, very light crowd. right away, the staff was very kind, respectful, and friendly. the only issue is that we weren't told about the night's specials. it was written on a board on the wall. it should have been mentioned when we were given the menus - but i can't take a star away for that!! The food is legit South Indian food. Just amazing taste, fresh ingredients. The chef came out personally and asked us how things were. I had a chicken dish, spouse had the lamb biryani - everything was flavored correctly, lacking for nothing. the service was excellent, food came out timely manner. the place was relatively easy to find and close to where we were staying. i would totally go here again
